A College Station man in jail for nearly four years has admitted to threatening to kill his godfather, who is also a Grimes County sheriff’s deputy. As part of a plea agreement with the Brazos County district attorney’s office, 30 year old Jesse Musser was sentenced to ten years in prison for the multiple offenses that took place on December 30th in 2014. Brazos County sheriff Chris Kirk told WTAW News at the time of Musser’s arrest, Musser fired the deputy’s rifle twice, once to gain entry into the unoccupied home and the second time it discharged after the butt of the firearm was used to strike the alarm panel. No one was injured, as the deputy was able to get Musser to surrender.

A Brazos County district court jury has convicted a Bryan man on a felony charge of family violence against his wife while he was on probation for a misdemeanor charge of assaulting the same victim. According to the news release from the district attorney’s office, the jury sentenced 24 year old Brock Cuerington to five years in prison and assessed a $5,000 dollar fine.
