Three domestic violence charges from three years ago against a College Station man involving the same victim were dealt with this month in Brazos County district court.

A plea agreement with the district attorney’s office was reached where 38 year old Steven Allen Martin was placed on probation for five years.

Martin admitted to what the College Station police arrest report stated was strangling the victim in January 2018 and to violating a protection order against the victim and her family in November 2018.

A charge of assaulting the victim in November 2018 was dismissed.

The plea agreement gives the possibility of ending the probation after three years if there are no violations.

Martin was also ordered to perform 240 hours of community service.

Martin, who had been in jail since April 14, was released September 13.
