Play Suspended in A&M-Mississippi State Series Opener

STARKVILLE, Mississippi – With inclement weather sweeping through the Golden Triangle, play between Texas A&M and Mississippi State was halted after six innings at Dudy Noble Field with the Bulldogs leading 4-1.

Action will resume on Friday with the seventh inning starting at 5 pm, prior to second game of the series which is slated for 6:35 pm.

Mississippi State scored three runs in the bottom of the first with a two-run single by Gavin Collins and a wild pitch. The Bulldogs added to the lead in the second with an RBI double by Seth Heck. A&M trimmed the lead to 4-1 in the top of the fifth when Jace Statum scored on a wild pitch.
