More than 400 golfers recently participated in the “Play Hooky for Harvey” fundraising event at Miramont Country Club.
General Manager Aaron Dawson says golfers came from all over the state.
“We were blown away though with how awesome everybody was, just how thankful they were, the response and then the way that our team here gave everyone the Miramont experience,” said Dawson.
Dawson said the golf event raised $53,625 and instead of just matching that, The Adam Corporation and American Momentum Bank contributed $100,000.
A check for $153,625 was presented to One America Appeal to assist families in need after Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
