DENTON, Texas (AP) _ A Dallas-area woman has died a day after a single-engine plane crash that left her husband critically injured.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office says 57-year-old Kathy Culp of Carrollton died about 1 a.m. Monday. The crash happened Sunday evening about a mile southwest of Denton Municipal Airport.
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper tells The Dallas Morning News the plane took a steep right turn and crashed into a field after the pilot reported insufficient power shortly after takeoff.
Culp’s husband, 43-year-old Harold Culp, remained in critical condition Monday at a Dallas hospital.
