An armed robber hit the FedStar Credit Union on Harvey Road in College Station Friday morning.
Officials say the suspect held up the credit union at gunpoint, left with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.
Police followed up on reports that the suspect boarded a Texas A&M bus. Officers searched buses but did not locate the suspect.

College Station schools are now on lockdown as a precautionary measure. The following information is from CSISD:
Because the suspect of the armed robbery at Fed-Star Credit Union is still at large, all CSISD campuses have been placed on a modified lockdown.
A modified lockdown means all students and staff have been brought indoors and all exterior doors to CSISD buildings have been locked and are being monitored. Individuals coming to the front door of a campus will be allowed entrance into the building with proper identification.
Classes are being held as normal inside the buildings.
CSISD will continue to monitor the situation and work with the College Station Police Department to determine when to lift the modified lockdown.
Suspect Description:
– Black male, 5’10”-5′-11″, 160 pounds, slim build.
– Denim jeans and dark fleece hoodie with the suspect’s head covered by the hood.
– Face covered with a blue-green-beige patterned scarf.
– Was carrying a dark-colored drawstring backpack with a Nike “swoosh” and other white designs on the back.
Information from Texas A&M University:
College Station Police Department reported a bank robbery occurred off of Harvey Road. Suspect is possibly a black male last seen wearing a dark jacket, Nike backpack with a draw string, scarf with blue and beige multicolor pattern. Suspect may have boarded a TAMU Bus off of University Oaks Blvd. Suspect is believed to be armed. Bus service haulted until further notice. Please call local authorities if you see the suspect or have any additional information regarding this incident.
