Organizers Of Fun For All Playground Moving Ahead With Phase One Construction

The collection of local civic clubs combining to build the Fun For All Playground in College Station has secured more than $1 million dollars in private money towards the $3.5 million dollar project.

Then the city council at its last meeting approved another $500,000 dollars.

Project spokeswoman Lisa Aldrich says bids for phase one will be going out before the end of the month. And it’s possible groundbreaking will take place in June.

Aldrich says phase one includes a play area for five through 12 year olds, a splash pad water zone and a swing area that includes wheelchair swings.
