Through the partnership with Texas A&M Health Science Center, the MatureWell Lifestyle Center will also provide a forum for research to improve and advance unique healthcare techniques for our older population. These efforts will utilize a team approach through interdisciplinary experiences at Texas A&M.

Growing older is all about enduring life changing events that question our age and stage of life. MatureWell is designed to be a valuable resource to our area seniors as they encounter new stages of life.

“When we began thinking about MatureWell, it started with the fact that the Brazos Valley is forecasted to grow significantly in the 55 and older age category. This group of adults is growing five times faster than all others combined, so the unique concept of the MatureWell Lifestyle Center will radically change the way older adults can achieve their wellness and lifestyle goals, as well as managing their everyday health,” said Donovan French, Vice President for Strategy and Business Development, CHI St. Joseph Health.

CHI St. Joseph Health and Texas A&M understand that as baby boomers age, they consume more healthcare, but also have different needs and expectations for their life.

“Seniors want to continue to live energetic and exciting lives, and a well-balanced healthy lifestyle is a crucial part of that. We know they also want to manage their illnesses and health treatment plans differently. Our patients are now active participants and decision makers in their care. MatureWell Lifestyle Center will help them achieve their goals and in a setting that was built with their preferences and likenesses in mind. It will allow them to combine all of the different aspects of health and wellness that are vital to a healthy life,” said Leena Kodali, M.D., Medical Director for MatureWell Lifestyle Center at CHI St. Joseph Health.

Conveniently situated near the Traditions community in the ATLAS Development, a growing area of the Bryan/College Station community, the MatureWell Lifestyle Center is located within the new Lake Walk Development. This planned development also includes The Stella Hotel and Parc senior living community. Shops, restaurants and other lifestyle amenities are set to follow. The MatureWell Lifestyle Center will complement the area’s array of developing retail and business entities that are customized to meet the unique needs of older adults and professionals in our community.

“We are pleased to have MatureWell Lifestyle Center part of ATLAS and the Lake Walk development,” said Spencer Clements, Principal, ATLAS and Traditions Development. “The facility is uniquely positioned to collaborate with partners like Parc Communities and the Texas A&M Health Science Center in areas that directly impact the lives of senior populations, including lifestyle and wellness programming, education, research and care delivery.”
