One of the Bryan/College Station residents exploring a run for Congress to succeed the retiring Bill Flores announced Wednesday he has suspended those efforts.
James Edge, who is Flores’s district director, says he has to do what’s best for his family and for himself.
Edge says he’s been overwhelmed the last month by the love and support that he did not anticipate.
Edge, who estimates there are between 10 and 15 people considering a run, says he “absolutely expects” to support the Republican nominee.
