The Bryan police arrest report says the suspects were identified because one of the women transferred the numbers of the stolen cards to her Walmart pay app.
The other woman, 21 year old Samone Jackson from Houston, is in the Brazos County jail on a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card and a similar charge from Travis County. As of May 20, Jackson remains held on the Bryan PD charge in lieu of a $75,000 dollar bond.
The arrest report says that half of the 14 purchases that were made on the same day in January were later reversed by the bank issuing the card because the owner did not consent to the purchases.
And five of the 12 victims were over the age of 65.
BPD was notified in March by Walmart investigators that two women had used hundreds of cards to make purchases at Walmart’s in Bryan/College Station, Rockwall, and Ennis.
