Residents in Bryan, Kurten, Wixon Valley and unincorporated areas of Brazos County can now report non-emergency issues through text messaging.
Patrick Corley, Executive Director of Brazos County 9-1-1, said this service is for non-life threatening emergencies.
“A barking dog, a noise complaint, anything that doesn’t need an immediate response from law enforcement,” said Corley.
Corley said this new technology also allows them to send text messages to citizens and law enforcement who are out in the field.
The non-emergency dispatch number is 979-361-3888.
