No More Rolling Power Outages

Rolling power outages that occurred through midday Wednesday around Texas will not return.  ERCOT, the Electric Reliabililty Council of Texas, ordered the temporary outages to protect the statewide electric grid.

ERCOT officials reported peak demand Thursday morning between 9 and 10 a.m. did not surpass the new winter record set Wednesday evening between 7 and 8 p.m.

ERCOT officials continue to call for conservation efforts due to continued cold temperatures and the forecast of snow and ice through Friday.

Thanks to the City of Bryan for forwarding information from ERCOT.
