The Wednesday evening commute on the freeway in College Station was slowed down following two crashes in the northbound lanes on and near the bridge over Emerald Parkway.
College Station police report no one was injured.
The first crash was a chain reaction involving a pickup truck rear ending a SUV, which rear ended a second SUV.
That was followed by a two vehicle collision where there was minor damage, the drivers exchanged information, and CSPD did not do a formal investigation.
The backup on the freeway and northbound feeder road began Wednesday around 5:15 p.m. The backup was cleared by 6:30.
