No. 18 Texas A&M looks to start a postseason run as it opens the SEC Tournament at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock.
The game is televised on SEC Network, with Cara Capuano and Gail Goestenkors on the call, and Steffi Sorensen reporting on the sidelines. Authenticated users can also access the game via WatchESPN on their computers, tablets and mobile phones.
A&M will face the winner of Wednesday’s 4 p.m. tilt between Florida and Auburn, which is televised on SEC Network as well. A&M beat both teams during the regular season at Reed Arena, downing Auburn 78-45 and knocking off Florida 66-46.
Texas A&M is 16-4 in conference tournament games since 2008, with three tournament championships, and the Aggies are 4-1 in SEC Tournament games, with the 2013 SEC Tournament title to their name.
The Aggies will lean on First-Team All-SEC selection Courtney Walker and Second-Team All-SEC selection Courtney Williams to carry the load in the SEC Tournament. Walker has a career 18.0 point average in the SEC Tournament, and was named to the All-SEC Tournament team in 2014. Williams averages 11.0 points in her career during the SEC Tournament, including a 22-point performance against Tennessee in last season’s semifinal.
A win by A&M in the second round sends the Aggies to the quarterfinals for the 10th straight season, where they would face LSU at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
