No. 18 Aggies Defeat Prairie View A&M, 98-70

COLLEGE STATION- No. 18 Texas A&M routed Prairie View A&M 98-70 in a women’s basketball game at Reed Arena Tuesday. The Aggies set season-highs in points (98), rebounds (52), assists (20), blocks (7) and steals (12).

The Aggies (5-1) never trailed in the game, jumping out to a 10-2 run to start the game, that forced Prairie View (2-4) to call timeout and play from behind the remainder of the game. The Aggies led 49-27 at halftime, and 72-54 after three quarters.

Four Aggies have scored in double figures in all six games this season, with Khaalia Hillsman‘s 20 points leading the way. Danni Williams added 15, Jasmine Lumpkin had 13 and Chennedy Carter had 12. All 11 Aggies who played in the game scored at least three points, and all 11 players made at least one shot from the field.

Anriel Howard led the Aggies with 11 rebounds, marking her fifth game with 10+ rebounds this season.

The Aggies return to action tomorrow, November 29 to host former Southwest Conference foe Rice, in a matchup of 5-1 teams.
