Ninth Graders Host Diaper Drive for Hope Pregnancy Center

The KOR School ninth grade class has organized a diaper drive called “Huggyz 4 Hope”. The nine ambitious high school freshmen set a goal to raise a year’s worth of diapers for Hope Pregnancy Center – about 70,000 diapers.

The class’ Erik Bronstad said they discussed helping other organizations, but when they found out how much help Hope needed in keeping diapers on their shelves, they knew they needed to lend a hand.

The diapers are distributed to moms and dads participating in the Hope’s Parenting Education Program.

Hope’s Executive Director, Tracy Franks, said with the growing size of the program, diapers are the first thing to go.

The drive culminates Saturday, April 21st with the “Huggyz 4 Hope Drive-thru Drop-off” at Hope Pregnancy Center from 4-8 p.m.

Chick-fil-A and Project Yogurt will be providing food on site with proceeds benefiting the diaper drive.  There will be a bounce-house and music. Raffle tickets are being sold for a custom David Gardner original timepiece, valued at $300, a sterling silver Hope Pendant and gift cards to various businesses in Brazos Valley.
