NFL Playoff Rundown

UNDATED (AP) _ The Cincinnati Bengals, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers
clinched NFL playoff berths yesterday. The Bengals moved closer to winning the
AFC North with a 24-14 win at San Francisco, and the Seahawks claimed at least
an NFC wild-card berth by ripping Cleveland 30-13. The Packers beat Oakland
30-20 to stay atop the NFC North, but they wrapped up a playoff slot when the
New York Giants lost to the unbeaten Carolina Panthers, 38-35.

The Washington Redskins and Houston Texans have gained sole
possession of first place in their respective divisions. Kirk Cousins threw for
four touchdowns in the Skins’ 35-25 win over Buffalo, but Washington didn’t take
over first place in the NFC East until the Cardinals crushed the Eagles 40-17.
Branden Weeden threw a touchdown pass to Jaelen Strong and set up three field
goals as the Texans beat Indianapolis 16-10, putting Houston one game ahead of
the Colts in the AFC South.
