The Texas A&M System board of regents may be ready to choose the next president of the flagship campus.
The board has announced a special meeting by telephone conference call Tuesday starting at 5:30.
According to the agenda, the regents will go into executive session.
Afterwards, they may announce one or more finalists.
Tuesday’s meeting follows another closed door discussion that took place Saturday morning.
Officials have known since July 2013 when Dr. Bowen Loftin announced he was stepping down.
