The newest member of the Bryan City Council credits his election to knocking on lots of doors.
Rafael Pena says during the campaign, which extended into Tuesday’s runoff election, he surprised many who live in north Bryan’s single member district two.
Pena says north Bryan is behind the east and west sides in development.
Pena says the prevailing neighborhood issues are the absence of sidewalks, curbs, and gutters along narrow streets.
Pena says he’ll continue monthly meetings in the second district, something he started during his campaign.
