New on-street parking meters that accept credit and debit cards as well as coins will be activated in the Northgate area on Monday, March 19.
The 103 upgraded meters are similar to those used in the Northgate parking lot. The 21 coin-only meters on Boyett, Lodge and Nagle streets will be replaced, with the remaining 82 meters placed along Tauber and Stasney streets.
The pay rate will be 75 cents an hour, but it will be free to park every day of the week after 5 p.m. Also, there is no charge on Sundays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
