Neiman-Marcus Unveils Costly Christmas Ideas

DALLAS (AP) _ For those looking for inspiration for holiday gifts, Neiman Marcus offers such suggestions as a $15,000 edible gingerbread playhouse or a $125,000 private party organized by celebrity event planner Colin Cowie.

The Dallas-based luxury retailer known for its offerings of expensive and often outrageous gift ideas unveiled its annual Christmas Book on Tuesday morning at its downtown Dallas store.

This year, Neiman Marcus celebrates the 50th anniversary of its “his and hers” gifts, which have included everything from airplanes to camels. The “his and hers” gift this year is a $250,000 houseboat built for two.

They are also offering a $248,000 charm bracelet featuring replicas of some of the “his and hers” gifts over the past half century.
