NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Tips Off in Indianapolis.

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament got underway Thursday in Indianapolis.

Texas Southern rallied past Mount St. Mary’s, 60-52 for the program’s second ever NCAA Tournament win.

Tigers forward and Texas A&M transfer John Walker III scored 19 points in the victory.

Elsewhere, Drake edged Wichita State, 53-52 and Norfolk State got the better of Appalachian State, 54-53.

UCLA bested Michigan State, 86-80 in overtime.

There will be a total of 16 games in action on Friday, including four with Lone Star teams.

Texas Tech meets Utah State at 12:45 p.m., Baylor faces Hartford at 2:30 p.m., Houston plays Cleveland State at 6:15 p.m. and North Texas takes on Purdue at 6:25 p.m.
