Still, the Mavs clinch the No. 5 playoff seed in the Western Conference and will face the LA Clippers in the first round.
The San Antonio Spurs were edged by Phoenix, 123-121. San Antone will square off against Memphis this Wednesday in the play-in tournament.
And Houston was blown out by Atlanta, 124-95.
The Rockets wrap up the year with an NBA-worst record of 17-55.
