A home health provider discovered the body of a dead Navasota man Monday.
The victim, 63 year old Pankie Freeman, was found in his home.
According to a news release from Navasota police, 35 year old Romeka Conley was arrested on a murder charge after confessing to killing Freeman.
Police chief Justin Leeth says Freeman was Conley’s uncle.
A motive and what investigators think might be cause of death have not been disclosed.
According to the NPD news release, an autopsy was ordered and the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety are assisting with the investigation.
