LANCASTER, Texas (AP) _ A standoff between Dallas County authorities and a man suspected in a San Antonio double murder has ended.
Officials say constables, police and other officers surrounded Alonzo Mendoza at a North Texas gas station Wednesday afternoon. After several hours, authorities used a flash bang and Mendoza, 31, was taken into custody in Lancaster.
San Antonio police have obtained an arrest warrant for Mendoza in the death of his wife and another clerk at a Dollar General.
Misty Dawn Espinosa, 25, and Clarence Adolfo Blades, 40, died earlier Wednesday after a gunman shot them at the discount store.
The standoff began when authorities tried to pull over the car Mendoza was driving.
