Multiple Traffic Offenders Back on the Streets

The second half of May has been busy for local law enforcement, arresting drivers with long traffic histories.

Arrest reports include a College Station man accused of drunk driving for the seventh time. 29 year old Robert Ruiz was caught by Bryan Police driving through a red light.

While Ruiz remained in jail on Memorial Day, nine others arrested the last two weeks with driving histories that include 13 to 33 prior infractions are out of jail after posting $2,000 dollar bonds.

Among those who are out are 23 year old Anthony Jurode of Bryan, whose traffic record includes 23 suspensions and ten convictions. He was stopped after a Bryan policeman stopped a car at night with a defective front headlight.

Bryan police arrested 27 year old Jeremie Moore of Bryan for an expired registration sticker. His record includes 29 suspensions and one conviction.

A College Station man, 36 year old Donald Ramirez, was caught by Bryan police with an expired 30 day permit. Ramirez has 23 suspensions and seven convictions, including two DWI’s.

A College Station officer stopped 21 year old Rachel Mitchell of College Station for going 43 in a 30. Her driving record includes 17 suspensions and nine convictions.

Back in Bryan, an outdated registration sticker resulted in the arrest of 44 year old Lisa Harrison of Bryan. Her driving history includes 14 suspensions and 11 convictions.

26 year old Kirk Lopez of Bryan was stopped by College Station police after learning his insurance had expired. His record included 17 prior suspensions and one conviction.

44 year old Carmen Rosa Diaz-Gonzalez of Bryan was stopped by Bryan Police for failing to yield the right of way. Her record included 11 suspensions, three convictions, and two crashes.

33 year old Tammy Tennell of College Station was stopped by College Station Police after making a wide right turn. Her record included 11 suspensions and two convictions.

49 year old Johnnie Childs of College Station was stopped by College Station Police for having two different license plates on his car. His record included 11 suspensions and two convictions.

And still in jail on Memorial Day was 23 year old Waylon Leggett of College Station, whose record includes 21 traffic suspensions and four convictions. College Station police stopped his SUV that had an expired registration.
