CYPRESS, Texas (AP) _ A Texas sheriff says the suspect in a stabbing attack at a Houston-area college is a man believed to be about 21-years-old who is enrolled at the school.
More than a dozen people were wounded in the Tuesday attack on the Lone Star Community College System’s campus in Cypress.
Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia says officers responded to the campus after receiving a call about a white male “on the loose” stabbing people.
Garcia says the suspect is in custody.

CYPRESS, Texas (AP) _ Officials say at least 14 people have been wounded in a stabbing attack at Houston-area college campus.
The Harris County Sheriff’s department confirmed at least 14 people were wounded in the attack Tuesday on the Lone Star Community College System’s campus in Cypress.
Authorities say at least four of those injured were taken by medical helicopter to hospitals in critical condition. Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Robert Rasa says several patients refused treatment at the scene and all the wounds were consistent with stabbing.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Thomas Gilliland says authorities don’t believe a second suspect was involved. Lone Star had earlier posted an alert on its website warning of two armed suspects.

Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Robert Rasa says 12 people were taken to area hospitals after the Tuesday attack on the Lone Star community college system’s campus in Cypress. The Harris County Sheriff’s department confirmed at least 11 people wounded and that authorities have one suspect in custody.
Both agencies say at least four of those injured were LifeFlighted in critical condition. Rasa says several patients refused treatment at the scene and all the wounds were consistent with stabbing.

The incident occurred near and around the Health Science Center and remains an active crime scene with changing and evolving information. Harris County Sheriff’s Office has one suspect is in custody and another suspect may possibly be at large.
There are 11 confirmed victims; 4 have been transported by life-flight and others by ambulance to area hospitals.

Alan Bernstein of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t know how many people were hurt in the Tuesday attack on the Lone Star community college system’s campus in Cypress, but multiple people could be seen being loaded into medical helicopters.
Bernstein says authorities have one suspect in custody.
Lone Star posted an alert on its website just before 12 p.m. warning students of two armed suspects and saying one person remains at large. The alert warned people to seek shelter in a secure location.
A different Lone Star system campus was the site of a January shooting. Two people were wounded, and a 22-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault.
