Multiple Criminal Charges Follow A Crash That Knocked Out Power Near Downtown Bryan

A crash that resulted in a power outage near downtown Bryan Wednesday night resulted in the arrests of the driver and a passenger on multiple charges.

Bryan police report a power pole that was struck at 31st and Sims ended a pursuit that began in the area of Leonard Road and Harvey Mitchell Parkway.

The driver, 19 year old Moses Barnes of College Station, was arrested for DWI and evading arrest.

The passenger, 18 year old D’Wyatt Buendel of Brazos County, was arrested for possessing two THC cartridges and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Both were taken to the hospital before going to jail.

As of Thursday evening, Barnes was held in lieu of bonds totaling $10,000 dollars and Buendel on bonds totaling $12,000 dollars.
