College Station police arrest a man after he barricaded himself in his home for seven hours.
That resulted in neighborhood residents being asked to shelter in place.
62 year old Wallace Macey Jr. was charged with firing a gun inside the city limits and obstruction or retaliation.
Friday just before midnight, CSPD sent patrol officers and members of its SWAT, hostage negotiation, and bomb squads to the home between Fitch and Woodland Hills Park.
According to CSPD social media, Macey surrendered peacefully.
CSPD cleared the area around seven a.m. Friday morning.
According to College Station police reports, a neighbor saw Macey fire three shots outside his house with an A-R 15 style rifle, then he went inside and fired a fourth shot.
CSPD officers also saw Macey walk around outside his house with the rifle.
And Macey threatened to kill a CSPD officer and an employee of the Houston veterans affairs office.
As of Monday evening (May 1), Macey remained in jail in lieu of bonds totaling $22,000 dollars. That is after he was served an arrest warrant while in jail charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
