A major accident in South College Station Wednesday night sent the driver of a motorcycle to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
College Station Police say the driver of the motorcycle was heading northbound on Alexandria Avenue shortly after 9:15 p.m.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, attempted to pass a car that had pulled over at a community mailbox when he struck the driver’s side of a Jeep turning left off of Baywood Lane to go south on Alexandria.
He was transported to College Station Medical Center.
The driver of the Jeep and a passenger were taken by a family member to College Station Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
A portion of Alexandria was shut down for three hours while police investigated.
