Mother Of Bryan Native Who Was Killed In A Crash Asking For Help In Finding The Other Driver

The mother of a Bryan native who died in a hit and run crash between Giddings and LaGrange is asking for public assistance in finding the other driver.

Neldra Applegate is the mother of 24 year old Byler Lehmann, whose car went under a semi trailer on Highway 77 near Warda on April 4.

Applegate says the crash was initially reported was a rollover.

But nine days later, the mother was told her son’s car went under a semi-trailer and the semi left the scene.

Five days after that, Lehmann died in an Austin hospital after he was taken off life support.

Applegate is now looking for anyone who may know about a trailer being repaired or heard about the crash.

Applegate says her brother and Fayette County Crimestoppers have posted reward money for information leading to finding the driver of the semi.
