Mother And Child Avoid Serious Injuries After Their SUV Was Struck By A Train In Bryan

From Bryan police:

On April 30, 2018 at 8:15 A.M. Bryan Police Officers responded to an accident involving a train in the 300 block of Dodge.

A 2004 Toyota RAV 4 was traveling East in the 300 block of W. Dodge when it stopped on the train tracks.

The driver, a 39-year-old female of Bryan, saw the train approaching, exited the vehicle and attempted to pull a 4-year-old child from the vehicle when the train struck the car.

The driver and child were transported to CHI St. Joseph hospital where they were both treated and released.

The driver was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license and stopping where prohibited.
