More Road Work Underway Around Brazos County

Three road projects are underway around Brazos County.

Parents delivering and picking up children at three College Station ISD campuses will have delays the rest of the school year. That’s due to starting the expansion of Green Prairie Trail. The city of College Station expects construction to continue through next August. The project, from Royder Road to Long Creek Trail, will impact traffic in and out of Greens Prairie Elementary, Pecan Trail Intermediate, and Wellborn Middle School.

It’s also the start of rebuilding Elmo Weedon Road from the Bryan city limits to Steep Hollow. For the next year, there will be one lane traffic. The $4 million dollar project will also improve drainage.

And the TxDOT Bryan district office announces repaving Briarcrest from the freeway and Kent Monday through Thursday nights between 10:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.
