AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ The latest round of steroid tests on Texas public high school athletes caught two using performance-enhancing drugs and a third with high testosterone levels.
That’s out of more than 3,100 tested from September through December 2009 for a return of six-ten thousandths of a percent.
The University Interscholastic League released the figures on Thursday. Seven other tests in that bunch are considered positive because the athletes either refused to provide a urine sample or had unexcused absences when they were selected.
The athletes were randomly selected from 193 schools.
