More Arrests For Illegal Hunting And Dallas Area Man Arrested By Texas A&M Police On 11 Charges

For the second time this month, a Texas parks and wildlife game warden makes arrests on illegal hunting charges in or near College Station. The latest bust followed a citizen’s report to the Brazos County sheriff’s office of hearing gunfire at 2:40 in the morning in the Indian Lakes subdivision. A sheriff’s deputy was the first to see a pickup parked near the Indian Lakes clubhouse with empty shell casings on the ground around the vehicle and a dead white tailed deer in the ditch. 20 year old Cameron Warren of Houston and 22 year old Justyn Johnson of Cypress were arrested for hunting at night…from a vehicle…without licenses…and while deer season was closed. They were also arrested for unlawful carrying of a weapon and possessing marijuana. Warren was also wanted on warrants from Harris County for evading arrest and possessing marijuana. According to the game warden’s arrest report, he seized an assault style rifle and a pistol.

An alert cell phone repair person led to Texas A&M police arresting a Dallas area man on nine local charges and two warrants from out of town. According to the UPD arrest report, the repair person noticed several missed calls from two phone numbers. The repair person called one of the numbers, and reached the victim…who said his phone had been taken earlier the same day from the memorial student center. The victim contacted UPD, and two officers were sent to the repair business. 20 year old Mamadee Sangaray was arrested for taking the phone, taking a bicycle from apartments at Century Square, evading and resisting arrest, causing minor injuries to the officers while trying to break free, and criminal mischief for breaking the officers glasses. Sangaray remains held in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $53,000 dollars.
