A Bryan man is accused of a drunk driving crash during the midnight hour Tuesday that took out a brick mailbox in front of a home near Allen Academy. Police received multiple calls hearing what happened on Woodcrest Drive. Officers found no skid marks showing the driver attempted to slow down. Bricks were found in the street and at least two yards, All the airbags in the truck were deployed. The driver told police there were multiple deer in his way. 27 year old Joseph Guzman, who was not injured, was arrested for DWI and for having a loaded nine millimeter handgun in his truck. Guzman spent three hours in jail before he was released on bond.
An argument at a Northgate bar turned violent Tuesday night. College Station police report 21 year old Carpier Faz of Universal City was arguing with an employee at the Backyard Bar when Faz struck him in the face with a beer bottle. The employee was take to Saint Joseph Hospital in Bryan for a cut to the face. Faz was arrested for aggravated assault.
