MLB Moving Midsummer Classic From Atlanta Amid New Georgia Voting Laws

Major League Baseball is moving its All-Star Game from Atlanta amid an outcry over Georgia’s new voting laws.

Critics claim the recently passed legislation promotes voter suppression towards minority groups.

The game was scheduled for July 13 at Truist Park as part of baseball’s midsummer break. Commissioner Rob Manfred also made the decision to move the amateur draft, which was scheduled to be held in Atlanta for the first time.
