The contractor remodeling the Brazos County Courthouse has received another million dollar’s worth of work.
The county commissioner’s court unanimously approved the deal, according to County Judge Randy Sims, to replace concrete panels along the north side of the courthouse, facing William J. Bryan Parkway.
Sims says commissioners received an exemption from seeking bids because of safety concerns delaying the work an estimated three to four months.
Sims says the additional work will be paid from funds set aside the last five years, which haven’t been spent as quickly as first expected.
