Midnight Yell History Being Made This Friday

The announcement that this week’s A&M Midnight Yell practice will be held at midnight Friday may not be news.

But university officials say it’s the first time for a Thanksgiving week football game. Previously, yell practice was held on other days and times.

That prompted a news release Tuesday confirming what A&M is calling a “fully bona fide traditional Midnight Yell Practice”.

That means yell leaders and the Aggie band leading the crowd from the quad to the northeast entrance of Kyle Field.

Gates open Friday night at 10:30. And head yell leader Nelson Ingram says Kevin Sumlin will be there.
