McGee gets first NFL win as starter for Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys ended a nightmare season yesterday on an up-note and it certain was a celebration for former Aggie quarterback Stephen McGee who was the winning quarterback in his very ever NFL start. McGee’s 11 completions in 27 attempts included a 4-yard toss to Jason Witten with :55 seconds left that turned out to be the winner in a 14-13 road win over Philadelphia. McGee also rushed for 56 yards in the game.

While Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones said yesterday that he had not made a decision on his team’s permanent head coach, most NFL observers are saying that Jason Garrett will get the job after going 5-3 since taking over for Wade Phillips at mid-season.

The Houston Texans went out a winner as they beat Jacksonville 34-17 to finish 6-10 and word yesterday was that Gary Kubiak will not be fired and will return as the Texans coach.
