COLLEGE STATION, Texas – On Saturday, the Texas A&M Aggies will go through a dry run of next week’s season-opener with a Maroon & White Scrimmage.
The scrimmage will begin at 1:05 with a Meet-and-Greet and activities planned leading up to the affair.
The event is serving as a keystone for the team’s fundraising efforts for the Vs. Cancer Foundation to Fight Childhood Cancer. Following an 11:15 Meet-and-Greet the entire squad will shave their heads to help promote their campaign with Vs. Cancer. The Aggies currently sit in first place in a friendly competition among other college baseball squads across the country with over $12,000 raised.
In conjunction with the Maroon & White Scrimmage, the Brazos County A&M Club will be holding the third annual Aggie Leadoff, slated to start at 10 a.m.
Activities involved with the Aggie Leadoff include lunch by Chef Thai (hamburgers, hot dogs & gourmet fries), a tour of Blue Bell Park and a raffle drawing with prizes including autographed jersey and baseball, A&M polos and an A&M jacket. There will also be a thrilling bounce house for children.
Tickets for the Aggie Leadoff are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12-and-under. Tickets can be purchased in advance at BCAMC.org. Tickets purchased day-of will be based on availability.
Free parking for all activities will be available in Lot 100j.
