Looking For Two Robbery Suspects

News release from College Station police:

On 05/20/15 at about 2340 hours officers responded to a reported theft in the 300 block of Tauber St. Upon arrival officers located a female victim. The female stated that an unknown male suspect approached her from behind and attempted to take her purse away from her. She began struggling with the male for control of the purse. She then released the purse and the male took it and ran to a nearby waiting vehicle, got into the front passenger seat, and fled the scene. During the struggle for the purse, the female victim sustained non-incapacitating injuries. She refused any treatment at the scene for her injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 5’7” and 5’9”, muscular build with a weight between 160 lbs and 170 lbs, and had short dreadlocks. The vehicle he fled in was described as a silver Jeep Liberty. The victim was unable to see the driver of the Jeep.

This case has been turned over to the criminal investigation division. Anyone with information about this offense, please contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.

Robbery (PC 29.02) occurs if, while in the course of committing theft of property and with intent to obtain or maintain control of said property, a person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causes bodily injury to another person. This offense is a felony of the second degree, punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

News release from Bryan police:

On May 16, 2015 at approximately 10:20 p.m. Bryan Officers responded to the Chevron located at 902 N. Harvey Mitchell for an aggravated robbery that had just occurred. A Hispanic male entered the convenience store, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident. At this time the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.

The suspect is described as:
20-25 years of age
Average height and weight
Light colored hoodie
Dark pants
