Security for the presidential inauguration includes local law enforcement.

A spokesman at the Bryan police department says there is a combined deployment of around 100 fulltime and reserve officers from BPD, College Station and Texas A&M police, and the Brazos County sheriff’s office.

College Station sent 16 officers and Texas A&M police sent 12 officers.

All expenses are paid by the federal government.

There has been a local presence at presidential inaugurations since George W. Bush.
