Local Arrests on Drug and Firearm Related Charges

Walking inside a College Station restaurant at one in the morning in his underwear and an inside-out t-shirt landed a Utah man and his female friend from California in jail. According to the arrest report, employees of the College Station Kettle pointed police towards 40 year old Billy James Williams, who was asleep in a booth with a cut over his right eye and blood on his hands and feet. Williams said he was staying at the Days Inn next door. Police found 43 year old Gari Canonico in the room, along with ten different types of prescription drugs.

Bryan police arrested a 17 year old for an armed robbery of a man who drives around neighborhoods selling ice cream out of his minivan. According to the arrest report, Felix James Salazar of Bryan is accused of pointing a silver revolver and demanding everything the victim had. When the victim said he have nothing, Salazar fled to a waiting S-U-V. The victim gave police a partial license plate. That led officers to a 16 year old who was driving the vehicle who led investigators to Salazar. Both teens admitted to the robbery.

A Bryan man was arrested for firing a shot at his ex-girlfriend’s home in College Station. Police responded to a call at three in the morning on Sunday at Southwest Parkway and Potomac, between Anderson and Bee Creek. Officers found a bullet struck the rain gutter while eight people were inside, including five children. No one was hit. According to the arrest report, 31 year old Kevin Gibbens was found in possession of a 357 revolver with two live rounds in his pocket and three additional spent rounds on the ground.
