Let It Snow!

Wednesday morning’s winter blast left some central Texas communities with snow.

According to reports to the National Weather Service, there was light snow in Franklin. It was enough for photos to be shared on Franklin ISD’s Twitter page, but it amounted to little accumulation.

The Falls County Sheriff’s office reported one-half inch, as did a public report from Mexia.

In Hillsboro, the emergency manager estimated one and a half inches outside the Hill County Sheriff’s office.

Authorities in Fairfield reported two inches outside the Freestone County courthouse.

The Weather Service reported east of Dallas and north of Interstate 20, residents in numerous northeast Texas communities reported two to four inches of snow Wednesday morning. That’s after ice fell on Tuesday.
