LEANDER, Texas (AP) _ A student at Leander High School brought a gun to school and fatally shot herself in a bathroom during school hours Monday, an official said.
The girl’s identity was withheld by authorities.
The Austin American-Statesman reports that after the shooting school officials received a bomb threat and the school was evacuated as a precautionary measure. Police say the threat was unrelated to the suicide, the paper reported without naming any officials.
No other details of the suicide have been released.
