37 Acres Burn in Burleson County Sunday Afternoon

A 21-year-old was arrested early Sunday after driving recklessly through the Northgate District at closing time. Police witnessed Hector Pineda, of College Station, on Church Avenue traveling at approximately 50mph in a 25mph zone. Arrest records say the streets were still crowded just after 2:30am when Pineda squealed his tires and sped down the street. Officers say that Pineda was also not wearing a seat belt. He failed a field sobriety test and breathalyzer samples registered 0.111 and 0.105. Pineda was charged with Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on $6,000 bond.

College Station Police are asking for information after multiple gunshots were fired near an apartment complex early Sunday. CSPD responded to The Grand Apartments at 1501 Harvey Road shortly after 4:00am after receiving multiple reports of gunshots. Investigators believe shots were fired from multiple locations, including along Scarlett O’Hara Drive and the apartment complex parking lot. Police say the gunfire caused property damage, striking a vehicle, a bus stop, and a fence, but no injuries have been reported. The investigation is ongoing. Two men were arrested during an investigation of an armed robbery last week. On Thursday, Bryan Police were tracking 21-year-old Cedric Andrea Henderson, III, the prime suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on September 8, 2026. Officers saw Henderson enter a vehicle as a passenger and they attempted to pull that vehicle over. After the vehicle stopped, Henderson ran from the vehicle, but was apprehended. He was charged with Evading Arrest. He had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation and remains jailed. Henderson has not yet been charged in connection with the robbery. The driver, 19-year-old Jeremy Dominique Reed, Jr., traveled approximately 1,200 feet after officers tried to initiate the stop. He tossed a handgun from the vehicle that investigators say matched a photo Reed posted on Instagram. That gun had the serial number filed off. Reed was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Tampering with Identification Numbers, Driving Without A License, and Fleeing a Police Officer. He remains jailed on $80,000 bond.
