Just Aggies left on Big 12 Bowl Slate

Just one more Big 12 Team to play in a bowl game and that the Aggies meeting LSU Friday night in the Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium. And the Aggies have a chance to give the conference a .500 record for the bowl season as the other seven have now gone 3-4.

On Saturday the Big 12 went 2-0 with Tech beating Northwestern in the Ticket City Cowl at Cotton Bowl Stadium and Oklahoma beating UConn in the Fiesta Bowl… that on a day when the Big 10 had perhaps its worst bowl day ever, going 0-5 with the most embarrassing being Mississippi State’s 52-14 smack down of Michigan in the Gator Bowl, a loss that could cost Rich Rodriguez his job today.

Speaking of jobs, that Maryland interview of Mike Leach over the weekend for the Terrapins head coaching job evidently didn’t go well enough because yesterday Maryland gave the job to UConn’s Randy Edsall a day after his Huskies lost to OU at the Fiesta.

There is one bowl game tonight, the Orange Bowl with Stanford meeting Virginia Tech. Tomorrow is the Sugar Bowl with Arkansas meeting Ohio State.

The Aggie had their first workout in Cowboys Stadium yesterday. They’ll practice at 9:45 am each of the next three days and have a walk through on Thursday.

Tomorrow they’ll visit the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and tomorrow night attend the Mavericks-Portland NBA game.

Kick off with LSU is Friday night at 7:27 at Cowboys Stadium and LSU is still a 1-point favorite over A&M.
