Jury Selection Starts in Brazos County Death Penalty Trial

Almost four years has passed since a College Station man was shot and stabbed to death and his wife was stabbed during a burglary at their home on Deacon Drive.

Monday is the first day of jury selection in the capital murder trial of 22 year old Gabriel Hall of College Station.

The district attorney’s office wants Hall to be executed for the death of Edwin Shaar, Jr. who was 68 when he died in the garage of his home in October 2011.

Prosecutors posted on social media Monday morning that jury selection will continue through the month of August.
