ITA Circuits stops at Mitchell Courts

Many of the region’s top collegiate men and women’s tennis players are converging at Texas A&M’s George P. Mitchell Tennis Center this weekend to compete in the ITA Summer Circuit.

First-round action in both the men’s and women’s brackets gets underway Friday at 2 p.m.

Admission to the four-day tournament is free.

Several Aggies will be competing in the four-day event. Colin Hoover (Victoria, Texas) is the No. 2 seed on the men’s side, and A&M teammate Jordan Szabo (Baywater, Victoria, Australia) is seeded No. 3. In addition Daniel Brown (Montgomery, Texas) is a No. 9-16 seed. All three A&M players have first round byes and are scheduled to begin play at 5 p.m. on Friday.

Daniel Whitehead of Texas is the No. 1 seed on the men’s side, while Tennessee’s Millie Nichols of Austin is the top seed in the women’s bracket.
